Please consider donating  Riverview High School memorabilia to the archive room located on campus where staff, students, and alumni  have permanent access to items such as a complete set of Tartan yearbooks as well as scrapbooks, pictures, sports/music programs, letter jackets, etc.

Also WANTED: additional Tartan Year Books for County Archive!

Greetings from Sarasota County Historical Resources! We serve as the county’s archive and repository of important vintage objects, works on paper, manuscript collections, photographs, ephemera, clippings, architectural drawings, aerial maps, city directories and obituaries, among other things regarding our local heritage. Did I mention high school yearbooks? You would be surprised how much use they are to researchers, authors, alumni and genealogists.

We have most every one of the Sarasota High School yearbooks dating back to 1924, but alas, only five yearbooks representing Riverview High School — until now. In December 2016, Jo Ivey of the RHS Alumni Association graciously donated 10 additional Tartans from the RHS Archive*; we now have 15 years of Tartans. It would be phenomenal to complete our collection of the yearbooks for public use. That’s where you come in!

*NOTE: Yearbooks donated by Jo Ivey were duplicates of books already in the school’s collection at RHS. The school’s archive of yearbooks remains intact.
