Dr. Raymond Dean Hautamaki
Doctor R. Dean Hautamaki was born and raised in Sarasota. After graduating from Riverview High School in 1981, he headed off to Gainesville and University of Florida. At the University of Florida, Dean was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society and earned a B.S. degree with honors. Following a stellar undergraduate career, he went on to graduate with his M.D. degree with honors from the prestigious University of Florida medical school. In addition to earning his M.D., Dean was recognized for his outstanding academic record by the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After completing his Surgical Residency Training at the University of Florida Medical Center-Shands Hospital from 1989-1992, Dr. Hautamaki left Florida. His Surgical Residency in Florida was followed by a Residency and Fellowship Training in Internal Medicine/Pulmonary-Critical Care Medicine from 1992-1997 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Medical Center, an adult teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Hautamaki returned to Sarasota in 1997. From 1997-2005, his profession career centered around several key interest: Partner Lung Associates of Sarasota, Pulmonary-Critical Care Physician, and Co-Director of the Critical Care Division at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. In 2005, Dr. Hautamaki became a founding partner in Hautamaki and Horiuchi: Personal Physicians of Sarasota providing Internal/Pulmonary and Critical Care medical services.
Dr. Hautamak is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians FACP and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians FCCP, a member of the Sarasota Memorial Health Care system Medical Executive Committee. He was the prior Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and the current Division Chief of the Department of Internal Medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hautamaki is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine Florida State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Hautamaki serves on the board of Directorships of Wafergen Biosystems-California (Public company), Fibralign –California (private biotech company), and First Wave Technologies-New York (private biotech company).
Dr. Hautamaki volunteers thought the community: Co-Trustee The Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust, Board of Director-Non profit "Aloe Organic Farm Foundation” andPrior Board Member Sarasota Symphony.
Dean is married to Elizabeth. They have four children.
ERIC CURRY
Class of 1981
Eric Curry played trumpet and baritone horn in the Kiltie Marching and Symphonic Bands. His senior year, Eric earned the band's Chip Miller Award, which honored excellence in academics, music, and community involvement.
Curry attended Trinity International University in Illinois, where he majored in Business Management and walked on to the baseball team. He earned a scholarship and was twice named to the All-Conference team.
While at Trinity, Curry discovered his passion for basketball officiating. After college, he began officiating high school games in Sarasota and steadily advanced through the ranks. In 1999, the Big Sky Conference hired him as an NCAA Division I official. Over the past 25 years, Curry has officiated over 1,700 regular season games, and has been selected 18 times to work in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.

Curry has held executive roles in sports, aviation, and corporate partnerships. He began his professional career at Delta Air Lines, where he worked with the Salt Lake City Olympic Bid Committee. In 2000, he became Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Minnesota Twins, leading a sales team that revitalized the organization's sponsorship strategy. He played a key role in the opening of Target Field, securing naming rights for the new stadium.
In 2013, Curry joined Sun Country Airlines as Executive Vice President of Sales and Customer Experience, helping guide the airline out of bankruptcy. He now serves as Senior Vice President of Sports Partnerships at Cambria, where he leads efforts to place the company's quartz surfaces in sports venues across the country.
Curry lives in Wayzata, Minnesota, with his wife and 2 boys.
He has served on the board of Crescent Cove, a respite and hospice facility for children, along with Make-A-Wish Minnesota and the Boys and Girls Club. He's currently a member of Minneapolis Dunkers, a group that supports high school athletics.
