Andrew Fox - Class of 1970
Andrew graduated from Riverview High School in 1970.  After graduation, he enrolled at the University of South Florida and received a BA in Business, a MA in Education, and an EDS in Adult Education.  Andrew has been married to his wife Jean for over 35 years. Andrew and Jean have two daughters Ashley and Jaclyn.  Ashley is a teacher in Manatee County. She is married and has a son Luka.  Jaclyn is working on her doctorate from American University.

Andrew’s background has been a varied.  He began his professional career as an Occupational Specialist working with high school students in career counseling.  Following that, he taught Marketing at the high school level. During this period of his career, Andrew was awarded the distinction of a Merit Teacher by the State of Florida. He also served as President of the Marketing teachers group for the State of Florida. Next, Andrew’s career shifted to teaching Entrepreneurship at the Sarasota County Technical Institute where he developed the first Small Business Incubator in Sarasota sponsored by the school system.  This was a place for small businesses to develop and grow.  Andrew ended his teaching career at Sarasota County Technical Institute working in the paralegal program.

While teaching he created and developed his own business: The Fox Advertising Agency.  The business began with just Andrew and his wife. However, The Fox Advertising Agency grew quickly in size and reputation. It was named Small Business of the Year by the Manatee Chamber of Commerce in 1995.  The Agency has also won some Addy awards from the advertising industry.  About 6 years ago, The Fox Advertising Agency became The Fox Business Group LLC and expanded in order to add training and consulting.
Andrew has also helped in developing The Small Business Chamber of Commerce of Manasota.  The organization has grown and developed to a nonprofit education and networking group.  Andrew has also served on boards such as the Riverview High School Foundation and the Manatee Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to running his business, Andrew is a member of SCORE, which offer, small business counseling for free as part of the Small Business Administration.
